Tuned Mass Dampers

MAURER mass dampers (TMD) are composed as spring, mass or pendulum systems. The spring stiffness of the secondary mass is chosen that way as to achieve an optimum resentment of the main system. A damping element which as a rule is viscous dampens vertical, horizontal or torsion vibrations.

The damping element can also be filled with magneto rheological fluid for continuous control.
